I've started drawing a lot. And I'm going to introduce you to my characters. I like to call them the pink jell-O fighters. I started drawing these girls and didn't stop. I knew they all had something in common. And one day I just thought...
What am I drawing? Who are these characters? Why do I like them?
When you look at their faces, you might see unhappy heroes. When you look at their eyes, you can't see anything. You can't see their personality, you can't see if they're happy, sad, nice or mean. But you can look at it from a different points of view. This is how they would look even if they were happy. This is how they would present themselves, badass!
And this is where it gets interesting. If you think about it, these characters are... real. It's like you instantly know that they have their shit together. They know what they're doing, even if you really don't know what that is. Eventually, you find yourself thinking: what do they do? As much as we all like to think that they're warriors from outer space and they fight big pink jell-O creatures for a living, in reality they are just like us, they wake up at 6:00 am or 7:30 (if you're really lucky). And they press that snooze button like a million times just like us. they can be our friends, they can be the girl that sits next to you in chemistry class when the the teacher is announcing what you got on the final test. And this doesn't mean that they're not heroes. They still fight the pink jell-O creatures. The ones in our daily lives.
And why do I like them? This is why:
It's a windy but strangely sunny day. The desert is peaceful and untouched, and the warrior girls are standing their ground in the sand. The sunlight is reflecting on the pink jell-O creature. It's unlike anything I have ever seen. The shiny creature is rolling towards us. The sand starts sticking to it, and after a couple minutes it's like the glittering particles of sand are a part of the pink jell-O's life. The girls are smiling. But you can't tell that by looking at them. I'm also smiling, because being there with them would be one of the most magical moments of my life.
That's why I like them.
